Through this long-distance swim, we are raising donations for the National Brain Tumor Society, a cause which is very important to us. This year's swim will honor the memory of Anna Kate Lee (May 31, 2008 - July 11, 2008) who passed away from a rare congenital brain tumor. She's pictured below by herself and with her twin sister, Caroline Grace, who is in good health. Even though we're swimming in honor of Anna Kate, we hope you'll also consider our swim to be in honor of any of your friends or family who have battled a brain tumor. We will continue to raise donations after the swim, so don't worry, you aren't too late!
